    Check another IP

We'll show the country, city, ISP and network type of any IPv4 or IPv6 address and check it against blacklists.

IP location data: IP Geolocation by DB-IP. Your exact location is calculated in your browser and is never sent anywhere.

    How to use

Everything about your connection on one page

    1. 1Open the pageYour IP, country, city and ISP are detected automatically
    2. 2Review the checkssee whether it shows that you're using a VPN or proxy

    What the tool shows

Your public IP address that websites see your connection from, its version (IPv4 or IPv6), country, region and city, ISP and network number (ASN), time zone and local time based on IP. The location is marked on the map along with an approximate accuracy radius.

    Anonymity check

Websites, payment systems and ad accounts compare several signals: whether your computer's time zone matches the IP time zone, whether your browser language fits the country, whether WebRTC reveals your real address, whether the IP belongs to a data center and whether it's on any blacklists. Each item here is marked green or red, and the overall score is shown as a percentage.

    When you need it

Before logging in to Stripe, Payoneer, Shopify or an ad account via VPN: if your time zone or WebRTC gives away a different country, the account may be flagged for review. It's also useful to find out where a server is located by IP, who owns an address and whether your IP has ended up on spam lists.

    • A number that identifies a device on the internet. Websites don't see your computer's address but the public IP assigned by your ISP, VPN or proxy.

    • By IP - usually accurate to the city, sometimes only to the region or country: it's the location of your ISP, not your home. The "Show exact location" button shows your precise location - the browser gets it from GPS or Wi-Fi and only with your permission.

    • ISPs often register addresses in a major city or another region, mobile internet connects through gateways in other cities, and a VPN shows the location of its server. This is normal: this is how every website sees your IP.

    • The IP belongs to a hosting provider, cloud or VPN service rather than a home or mobile ISP. Payment systems and ad accounts scrutinize such addresses more strictly. We detect this by the network name, so occasional mistakes are possible.

    • WebRTC is the technology behind video calls in the browser. It can reveal your real IP to a website even when a VPN is on. You can close the leak with your VPN app's settings, a WebRTC-blocking extension or a browser that lets you disable it in the settings.

    • If your IP is from Germany but your computer's clock is set to Moscow time, the website can tell you're connected via a VPN or proxy. To avoid this, set your device's time zone to that of the country you're connecting through.

    • No. Your IP is only used to respond to the request and is not logged. Your exact location is calculated in your browser and is not sent to the server.
