Which meta tags you really need
The title is the main tag: Google shows it as the blue link in search results, and the browser shows it on the tab. The description is the short text under the link. It barely affects rankings, but it decides whether people click on your page. Viewport makes the site look right on phones, and charset prevents garbled characters instead of letters. Search engines stopped using the keywords tag long ago, so the generator does not add it.
Canonical: why set the main URL
The same page often opens at several URLs: with UTM tags, with and without a trailing slash, with and without www. The canonical tag tells search engines which URL is the main one and gathers all link value there. So this is also a canonical tag generator: enter the clean page URL and the tag appears in the code. Add canonical to every page, even if it has no copies: the URL simply points to itself.
Open Graph and Twitter Card
When a link is shared in Telegram, WhatsApp, Facebook, LinkedIn or X, the platform takes the title, description and image from the Open Graph tags. Without them, the preview is pieced together from random bits of the page or does not appear at all. A 1200 × 630 px image works almost everywhere. After publishing, check the link in the platform's debugger: social networks remember the old preview and do not update it right away.

Title: 30-60 characters, Google cuts the title at about 580 pixels wide. Description: 70-160 characters, which is about two lines on desktop and a bit less on mobile. Put the most important words first, so even a cut-off text still makes sense.
Yes, the tool also works as a canonical tag generator. Enter the main page URL in the "Page URL" field and the link rel="canonical" tag appears in the code. The same URL goes into og:url, so social networks count shares as one page.
Noindex is for pages that do not belong in search results: the cart, user account, on-site search results, drafts. Nofollow tells robots not to follow the links on the page and is rarely needed. For regular pages, keep index, follow.
Platforms cache previews for days or weeks. Open the Facebook or LinkedIn link debugger and refresh the data. In Telegram, you can send the link to @WebpageBot. Make sure the image URL is complete, with https://, and that it opens without logging in to the site.
No. Google has not used it for more than ten years, and other major search engines ignore it too. Put your keywords in the title, the H1 heading and the first paragraphs of the text instead.
Into the page's head section, before the closing tag. In WordPress, Tilda, Shopify and other site builders, the title, description and image are usually set in the page's SEO settings. In that case, copy the values from the fields there, and you do not need to paste the code.
