Text compare
Paste two versions of a text and the tool highlights what was added and removed, by line and by word. Everything runs in your browser, the text is not sent anywhere.

How to read the result
Lines missing from the first text are highlighted in green, removed lines in red. If a line changed only partly, the exact words that changed are marked inside it. Identical blocks longer than a few lines are collapsed so the differences don't get lost: click the bar to expand them.
Side by side or inline
"Side by side" works well for contracts, articles and product descriptions: the old and new versions sit in two columns, line next to line. "Inline" shows the edits one after another, like version control systems do - this makes short changes easier to read on a phone.
When it helps
Check what changed in a contract or offer, find an editor's edits in an article, compare two versions of code or a config, make sure two product lists match. Comparison also works on large texts - up to several thousand lines.

Paste the first version into the "Before" field and the second into the "After" field. The differences appear right away, no button needed. At the top you get a summary: how many places differ and how many lines were added, removed and changed.
The first switch treats "Text" and "text" as the same. The second ignores extra spaces and tabs: lines that differ only in indentation count as identical. Handy for code and for texts from different editors.
Yes. If a line changed partly, the removed and added words are highlighted inside it. If a line was rewritten almost entirely, the whole line is marked, so you don't get a colorful mess.
Texts of up to several thousand lines are compared in a fraction of a second. Very large and completely different texts are processed too, but their differences are shown in large blocks.
Copy the text from the file and paste it into the field. Formatting (bold, tables) is not compared - only the text itself.
No. The comparison runs right in your browser, the text never goes to a server. You can safely compare contracts and work documents.
