Several replacements at once
All pairs are applied in a single pass over the text. That means you can swap words: "cat → dog" and "dog → cat" work correctly instead of turning everything into one word. Next to each pair you can see how many times it was applied.
Whole words and case
"Whole words only" won't touch a word inside another word: replacing "cat" won't break "category". "Match case" tells "London" from "london". Without it, both are found.
Regular expressions
For complex rules, turn on regular expressions. For example, \d+ finds any number, and \s{2,} finds double spaces. In the replacement you can use captured groups: $1, $2, and \n for a line break. If the expression has an error, the field turns red and a hint appears.

Click "Add replacement" and fill in another pair. You can have as many pairs as you like, and they are all applied at the same time. Empty pairs are skipped.
Check the switches: with "Match case" the capital letters must match, and with "Whole words only" part of a word won't be found. In regular expression mode, the dot, brackets and other symbols have a special meaning - turn the mode off or put \ before the symbol.
Type the word into the "Find" field and leave "Replace with" empty. To also remove double spaces, add another pair with the regular expression \s{2,} and a single space as the replacement.
They are search patterns: \d is a digit, \w is a letter or digit, + means one or more times, ^ and $ are the start and end of a line. With them you can, for example, find all phone numbers or dates with a single line.
Yes, in regular expression mode: \n in the replacement field becomes a line break, \t becomes a tab. You can also find line breaks with \n.
