Yes. Click anywhere in the text and edit it like in a regular editor: delete, add, paste. A paragraph wraps lines to its own width, and new text is written in a similar font with the same size and color. Press Delete to remove a selected text block.
No. The editor works right in your browser: the file is never uploaded to a server. So you can safely edit contracts, passports and other personal documents.
"White out" places a white rectangle on top, "Redact" a black one. But a plain rectangle only covers the text: it stays underneath and can still be copied. Turn on "Redact permanently" - the page becomes an image when saving, and the hidden text is truly removed from the file.
In the same font as the document: the editor takes it straight from the PDF, so the edit looks like the original. But a font is often embedded in a PDF only partially, with just the letters used in the document. If you type a letter it doesn't have, or the font's author prohibits editing, the editor warns you and writes that text in a similar font (PT Sans, PT Serif or PT Mono) with the same size and color.
A scan is an image with no text in it. You can white it out and type new text on top, and add a signature, a stamp and markups.
Page thumbnails are on the left: drag them to change the order, rotate, copy and delete them. "Add PDF" inserts pages from another file, "Blank page" adds an empty sheet.
