How to use

Split for a carousel or profile grid

  1. 1Upload an imagelarger is better: from 2000 px wide
  2. 2Choose a grida ready-made one for Instagram or your own up to 10 × 10
  3. 3Download the piecesas a ZIP archive or one by one, numbered

Panorama in a carousel

A wide photo split into 2-3 pieces scrolls in a carousel like one continuous picture. Choose "Carousel 3 × 1": the pieces will be 4:5, the shape the Instagram feed likes. Add them to one post in number order.

A big picture in the profile grid

For a 3 × 3 or 3 × 2 grid, each piece is a separate post. Instagram puts a new post in the top left corner, so you need to post from the end: file No. 1 is the bottom right corner. Since 2025 the profile grid shows posts in 3:4 proportions, so that's how we cut them.

Custom grid

You can split an image into any number of columns and rows up to 10 × 10: for example, to print a large poster on A4 sheets. "As is" divides the photo into equal pieces with no cropping.

  • "Original" keeps every pixel of your image. "1080 px wide" is the size Instagram shows without extra compression: the pieces upload faster and stay sharp.
