Which proportions to choose

For the Instagram feed, 4:5 or 1:1 works best, for Stories and Reels - 9:16, for a YouTube thumbnail, presentation or website - 16:9. "Free" is for when you need an exact size in pixels, for example for a banner. 1080 px is enough for social media, 2048 and 4096 px are useful for printing and large screens.

How to adjust the framing

Each photo fills its whole cell, and the extra is cropped. Click a photo and move it so the main part is in the frame, and zoom in with the mouse wheel or two fingers. To swap two photos, drag the arrows button onto another cell.

Spacing and rounding

Spacing makes a collage look neater: white borders suit a light feed, black ones suit evening photos. Rounding softens the corners. If you need a collage without a background, for example for a sticker, choose PNG and a transparent background.

  • From 2 to 9. If there are more photos than cells, the extra ones stay in the list below the collage: click a cell, then the photo you want, and it will go there.

  • No. The collage is made right in your browser, and photos are not sent anywhere. You can safely work with personal pictures.

  • Choose 9:16 proportions and the "Stacked" or "Big on top" grid. 1080 px is enough for Instagram and TikTok.

  • A photo fills its whole cell, so the edges that don't fit are cut off. Move the photo in the cell or choose a grid where the cell shape is closer to the shape of the picture.

  • JPG is lighter and works well for social media and messengers. PNG keeps the image lossless and supports a transparent background, but the file is heavier.

  • Yes. Tap a photo to select it, move the framing with your finger and pinch with two fingers to zoom. iPhone photos in HEIC format open too.
