Shopify itself takes no percentage of sales if you accept payments through Shopify Payments: you only pay card processing - in the US 2.9% + $0.30 on Basic, 2.7% + $0.30 on Grow and 2.5% + $0.30 on Advanced. Plus a monthly subscription.
Then Shopify adds its own fee on top of the payment provider's fee: 2% on Basic, 1% on Grow and 0.6% on Advanced. Choose "Another payment provider": rates for Stripe and Payoneer Checkout are built in, for any other provider choose "Custom rate". Payoneer or Stripe payout fees are covered by the "Payout" field.
Compare results across plans for your number of orders. A pricier plan pays off when the savings on payment fees exceed the difference in subscription: for example, Grow beats Basic if you process more than $33,000 in card payments per month.
