Multiply the price by (100 minus the discount) and divide by 100. An item at 2490 with 20% off: 2490 × 80 / 100 = 1992.
The second discount is taken from the already reduced price. 20% and another 20% give 36%: after the first, 80% remains; after the second, 80% of 80%, which is 64%.
Divide the price difference by the old price and multiply by 100. Was 3000, now 2400: (3000 - 2400) / 3000 × 100 = 20%. Our percentage calculator, "Change in %" mode, is handier for this.
